Choosing your perfect Wedding Photographer can be really difficult. There are so many to choose from, all with different levels of experience, different styles and all offering different packages and prices - it can easily get quite confusing! I am always always getting questions sent through my website, sometimes asking lots of questions that are not always covered in the blurb of a packages page - so this blog post should hopefully answer all of your questions to make your quest of finding your perfect wedding photographer a lot easier.
1. How much do you cost?
Wedding prices at Victoria Baker Weddings range from £895 to £1295. These prices depend on which wedding package you choose for your wedding. You can view the different options on this page. All packages include a full day shooting on your wedding day, a free consulatation and an online gallery of your images to share and purchase prints from.
I am also available to book for a bespoke package in that I'm happy for you to 'build your own package' and tell me exactly what you would like from me on the day - this can all be discussed in your free consultation which you can book here.
2. Can I design my own wedding package?
Yes. As I mentioned briefly above, you can design your own bespoke wedding photography package and tell me exactly what you want from your wedding photographer. For instance, do you want a half day instead of a full day shooting? Do you want 3 albums printed instead of one? Perhaps you would like your wedding photographed in a certain style or would like your formal shots done in a certain location? It can all be upto you! Just request a consultation and we can discuss your needs and I can quote you a price from there.
3. How do we pay you?
When you book your wedding photography with Victoria Baker Weddings, I take a deposit of 20% of the total amount, just to secure your wedding date. I also have a contract of services that both parties sign so everything and everyone is covered. That's it - before your wedding day, that is all your need to do!
The final full payment is then due 7 days before the day of your wedding.
4. Do we need to feed you?
Only if the time you require me for is longer than 5 hours. I will usually take a small break during a quiet time of the wedding day - but you do not need to have a place for me at your wedding breakfast.
5. Do we need to pay your travel expenses?
I am a wedding photographer based in Harrogate, but I also cover Leeds, York, Bradford, Sheffield and Manchester and everywhere in between. I tend to say within West and North Yorkshire there is no need to pay for my travel but if your venue is outside of this area, then all I require is for you to pay my mileage to and from your venue.
6. Will I get a Wedding Album?
This depends entirely on whether you book a Digital Wedding Package or the Luxury Wedding Album Package The Luxury Wedding Album Package includes one A4 designed wedding album of upto 30 pages. If you do opt for the Digital Wedding Package, and decide later, that you want to order a wedding album, that is absolutely fine.
7. Can we print our own images?
Absolutely. Once I have given you all your wedding photographs on a USB, they are yours to do whatever you like with. They will not be watermarked so you can print as many copies as you like!
I will own the copyright of the images, so I can use them on my website and marketing material and all I ask is that if you put them onto a blog or website, you mention ownership of Victoria Baker Weddings.
8. Do you take formal family photographs?
Yes I have a huge amount of experience in taking professional portraits so I tend to get these done quite quickly so as not to take you away from your wedding party for too long. You can request as many or as few formal shots as you like in your consultation.
9. How long until we receive our Wedding Photographs?
I usually say between 4-6 weeks to receive all your professionally retouched wedding photographs but during peak season this may be slightly longer but definitely no longer than 8 weeks. I will also send a couple of 'sneak peek' images a few days after the wedding!
10. How do we book you?
I recommend having a pre wedding consultation to make sure you're happy with your package and to answer any further questions you may have. This can be done face to face or over skype if easier at the time. Then, on receipt of a signed contract and payment of a deposit for your wedding photography package, your wedding day is officially booked!
