There are so many things to think of when you’re planning your wedding, so one thing that should be the easiest and most fun is your Wedding Gift List. In this blog post, I am going to show you which are the best Wedding Gift Registry websites to make your life that little bit less stressful!
It is worth having a think about whether you want material gifts, a charity fund or a honeymoon fund as the main part of your Wedding Gift List. Some providers offer all of the above but others can be quite restricted in what you can add to your list.
So here are my top 5 …..
Honeyfund is a very user friendly website that is really simple to use. Sign up is free and you simply create your wedding list, share it with your guests and then receive your gifts. You can upgrade to a premier service where you get to design the look of your page with their easy to use templates and add photos too. You can also add another gift register to Honeyfund if you want to combine lists from another provider.
The only downside is that couples pay 2.8% on any online gifts you receive, although guests never pay a fee for any gifts they purchase for you.
For those couples wanting a luxury homeware Wedding Giftlist, you need to look no further than Amara Bridal Registry. It offers the best in luxurious gifts for the home, whether it's super silk sheets or contemporary designed crockery for your newly wed kitchen. If you have got so far as buying a wonderful new home to spend your married life together, but have not yet filled it with gorgeous homeware, then this is the Wedding Registry for you!
Zankyou is a brilliant website that provides a number of solutions to your wedding planning woes. It allows you to create a really simple wedding website that manages your guest list, invitations, and even your table plans! It even has an app to manage all of your content from your smartphone.
Not only does it provide you with all the tools for planning your wedding, it also has a great website full of great inspiration for your wedding, if you're struggling to come up with a theme or colour pallet for instance. They have a great database of suppliers as well, which are based mainly in London, but if you need a florist, wedding photographer or even a venue, this website is definitely worth a look.
Their Wedding List service is also very well done. It is essentially advertised as a cash registry where the cash gifts go directly into your account, but it is more than this. You can add a charitable donation as one of your gifts, and you can add certain gifts onto your list as well. You can even have a ‘Green List’ that allows guests to make donations towards protecting the environment.
I would highly recommend Zankyou as a site that covers all your wedding planning needs, all wrapped up in a beautifully designed user friendly website.
2. John Lewis
John Lewis Wedding Gift List is exactly what you'd expect from them, a well finished and presented service. As a lover of the John Lewis brand, I believe this is a great combination Wedding List, that comes with a huge amount of choice, flexibility, and of course quality. The best thing of all is that it is FREE, all the way from registering to delivery.
You can combine gifts from John Lewis, a honeymoon fund with the prestigious travel company, Kuoni, and even the option of adding charitable donations to Cancer Research UK and gift vouchers to your list.
The partnership with Kuoni is what sells it for me, as it is an amazing travel company with expert knowledge on luxury holidays whether you want adventure or pure paradise.
The John Lewis Wedding List is really easy to use and gives you all the options you need - honeymoon fund, charity donations and a huge range of high quality gifts all with 2-5 years guarantee.
The top wedding gift registry in my opinion is Prezola. Their website is minimal but well presented, clean and the design is stunning. They offer two types of service, one of which is free, and the premier plus service costing only £39. The premier plus service enables you to have a fully flexible registry, with the options of a separate honeymoon fund, a cash registry and material gifts all in one. Once you've paid this for your account, there are no other charges and all delivery costs are covered. You can choose from a huge range of amazing homeware brands, such as Cox & Cox, The White Company and Fortnum and Mason, as well as electrical equipment and outdoor gifts.
I find the Honeymoon Fund slightly more discreet than some other gift registry in that it gives your guests the option to contribute to certain events on your honeymoon, rather than handing over cash into a big pot for your 'holiday'. They can, for instance, buy a gift of champagne in your room, a candle-lit dinner on your honeymoon or flight upgrades.
There are also options to add your chosen charity from a list of 100, so guests can make a donation with no fees taken by Prezola. You can even add a gift that you want to your list even if it is not listed on their website. Overall, I love that Prezola is a dedicated website made for your Gift Registry, it is subtle, classy, and well presented. It is a pleasure to use both as a guest, and a couple planning a wedding!
