Emma and Sam get married very soon at Barmbyfield Barn just outside York which is one of my favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire. I absolutely love the centre of York, it's filled with amazing buildings, architecture and the museum gardens are fabulous on a sunny day! Thanks to this amazing Yorkshire weather, we were lucky to have a glorious sunny day for their engagement session in York.
I always recommend having an engagement session and I include them in all my wedding photography packages for free! It only takes an hour and we just tend to go through a few simple poses and see what works for each individual couple. It means that on your wedding day, there is no wasting time with portraits. I know that time is so precious on your wedding day and the last thing you want to do is spend ages with your wedding photographer - you want to be with your guests and enjoying your big day! An engagement shoot or practice shoot if you like, is the best way to avoid this, and you get some lovely photographs in the process :)
Emma & Sam's engagement session was lovely! We went through some simple poses that worked for the two of them, and ultimately got them both used to having a big camera pointed at them! I absolutely can't wait to photograph their beautiful Yorkshire wedding at Barmbyfield Barn in two weeks!
Here are a few of my favourite engagement photographs of Emma & Sam from last week in York.
