Abigail & Matthew’s outdoor Yorkshire Engagement Session at Cow & Calf Rocks
I met up with this lovely couple last week at one of my favourite spots in the whole of Yorkshire, the Cow and Calf Rocks in Ilkley. I grew up very nearby these rocks so I have so many great memories around here. They also have the most amazing views over Ilkley and the surrounding hills.
Abigail & Matthew booked me over eighteen months ago, which seems like it has flown by! It was so lovely to see them at the weekend and go for a lovely, yet very wet and windy walk! They love to hike and love the outdoors so I wasn’t worried about the wind and rain. They were really great and totally embraced the weather which meant we could get loads of photographs.
Engagement sessions are not only great for couples getting used to me and my camera, but they are also really helpful for me. It means I can get to know what poses work for you guys and what won’t. Every couple I work with and photograph are totally different, and this engagement session gives me time to figure out how you interact with each other and what I need to do or say to get those all important wedding photographs.
Abigail & Matthew were great and seemed super comfortable with me trying out a few different poses. I’m really happy to be sharing some of my favourite photographs from this engagement session.
I can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks at Barmbyfield Barns, it’s one of my favourite Yorkshire wedding venues!
